We had minus forty without the pussy windchill just before Christmas. Not close to minus forty, or rounded of to minus forty, but actually minus forty.
Fortunately I was in Mexico eating great food and rescuing cats.
Came home to this. Note those temps are not including the pussy windchill.

Opened my browser this morning to the news headline that it was minus fifty three just north of me, in Yellowknife. Hhhmmm...
Further investigation shows that’s it’s actually minus forty two with a windchill of minus fifty three. This sort of exaggeration always infuriates me. It makes it seem like it’s always minus fifty three. Minus forty two is bad enough, it doesn’t need exaggeration to make it seem worse then it is.
