Russian M-40 helmet has a bullet hole in it ,and soldier is holding what looks like a German hand grenade called a potato masher but in fact is a Russian RPG-40. Early style anti tank weapon not very effective against German armored Panzer tanks it was replaced in 1943 with the much more effective RPG-43
