Ok here another question what’s the capacitor looking thing that that plugs into my new gauge relay even with the new relay the gauges still don’t work thanks

That is the voltage limiter. Its to reduce voltage for the fuel sender and the temperature sender to 5 volts.
 
The ‘relay’ is the volatage limiter. The capacitor is a capacitor. Time to break out your multimeter and start figuring out what’s not working. The voltage limiter proves the power to the gauge. The rest is from sending units. Which side of the gauge doesn’t work?
 
The capacitor was only required to mute the Make/Break Contacts within the voltage limiter,
as a slight voltage spike may cause some audible interference on the AM radio...

with my binders, if that thing burns up it will likely smoke the gauges. Everybody is gong electronic
Well, depending if burns up with points open or closed. Althought tipically should fail with points closed since is its natural position.
