So, I own a small concert sound company, small to medium format gigs, multitrack recordings, etc. I love me some loud music, especially when it is played WELL.

Went to SEE a show Thursday night - ZZ Top played our local fair.

Wow.

For 71...Billy can STILL rock it out!! Has his voice, has the moves, has the fingers...he tore it UP! Beard still hammers on the drums, and the bass player they brought in when Dusty passed recently (RIP) was also damned good.

Forgive the pole...my seat was RIGHT behind it. Grr. But it's OK, the sound was amazing and I REALLY wish I had that kind of power. Some of the bass notes were absolutely seismic. It was awesome.

I can’t get the video to play.

It should work, just played for me here on MS Edge. The video file is on my Drive account, set up to share with anyone who has the link.

maybe right-click, get the URL and start a new tab?

Frederick, MD, fair. Played one long set, about 50 min, 3 song encore.

Ol' boy still got it!! I want to see some of his blues stuff in person sometime....

I saw them in 1980 and 1981. Then I saw them at the WI State Fair in 2011 with my wife and daughter. They were great each time! Does the new bass player sing at all or is Billy handling all of the singing, now? R.I.P. Dusty.
