My '69 GTX (My 2nd) is my favorite car I've ever owned. However. Like everything in life. There are a couple things I would have done different if I was on the engineering design teams back in the day? And my #1 complaint?
Fuel inlet. I understand that putting the fuel inlet behind the rear license plate solved a couple cosmetic and truck design issues. But overall? Not the greatest idea. It's not very convenient. It doesn't allow for any vented cap to be used. (Which would solve a couple newer issues arose from today's fuels.) And I'm pretty sure it's not as safe as higher side or top mounted inlets?
Thank you for listening to me whine.
