Just wondering what front speakers everyone is running. Using an aftermarket sony deck and hertz 6x9’s in the rear

The dash has the 2 smaller outside grills for smaller speakers ( 4’’ ) and a larger one in the center?

Not into the Retrosound stuff

Thank you

I could be wrong , but the outside ones are probably defroster vents, or I think you could get an upgraded stereo package with 2 4” speakers.

On my 68 GTX I just have the single funky center sorsjer . I have used both kenwood 4” and kicker 3.5” after adapting them to the factory bracket. The kenwoods had pretty good sound , not a lot of bass, but they’re small speakers you can’t expect much, and my car was parked outside most of the time for a while, so I can’t really blame them, but after 6 years they deteriorated pretty bad. I replaced them with kicker 3 1/2” speakers, they have a little more bass and mid range then the kenwoods, I would say they’re better, can’t speak for longevity yet.

I bought a pair of scrappy kick panels, painted them black, and installed round Kenwood 4" KFC-1096PS shallow speakers. I use the center dash speaker for the AM radio.

S&M Electro Tech in Blaine, Minnesota makes a small 2 speaker with mounting bracket to go into the single front speaker space. Remove the single and install theirs. Direct fit.

Any pictures?
Not the best pictures, and probably not the best mounting , but it gets the job done
