Soon once the weather break I will be sand blasting my body panels. Seen some use epoxy primer, sealer, etc. What have you done? I will be blasting the stripped down shell, then would like to seal it with something right away. I will need to weld back on the rest of car. Frame connectors, floorboards, quarters, etc. so i will be grinding off some and hitting it again. Located in IL so the garage is sweating and freezing and everything that makes things harder to work with steel...

Any tips or advise? thanks!
Matt

Epoxy over blasted metal. I've had great luck with PPG's Industrial Coatings, get a lot more epoxy for the buck.

I have used PPG DP-90 an Southern Polyurethanes epoxy. Both work very well. However I'm pretty sure you shouldn't try to spray the epoxy if the temperature of the metal is below 65 degrees.

International Paint Strippers. Chemical strip to bare metal[everywhere], flush/rinse, e-coat dunk, bake. NO bare metal[anywhere].

I also am a big fan of epoxy primer. Just look at the tech sheet for minimum temps to spray at.

thanks guys thats the plan just gotta wait for the weather to break!
