Why do they have the captions at the bottom of the screen for the "Moonshiners" TV show?

Having been born and raised in the deep south, yet spending from my later teen years to middle
age "up north", I am fluent in both dialects.
The hilarious part of that is that people in both regions insist they don't have an accent - but that
"X" from the other region sure does.
