Hard to beat worm gears but they're ugly to look at. I've been using all AN fittings and braided hoses just to clean things up plus you can easily unhook them without messing with rubber hoses.
The short answer is they all work when properly applied. The spring clamps are production oriented and the gear or screw clamps are typically aftermarket replacements. I started using the EFI clamps this year on fuel, power steering, vacuum and other small stuff. Using the stock style spring clamps on the big stuff mainly for the originality look. I find the EFI clamps work really good but are size specific so you have to either get the right size every time or to save money get a large assortment.
Hard to see but a 3/8" efi clamp on the fuel line by the carb.
