I was just looking at the specs and I see that the 73 RR has a length of 210.8" and the 74 has a length of 212.4", a difference of 1.6". Anyone know what made the 74 longer?

If I had to guess, and I do, I would attribute the growth to the collapsing bumpers that were added to meet new regulations.

Just look at the cars, see if you notice the difference. In 1973, the bumper regs mandated 5mph front & 2mph rear. In 1974, the rear increased to the same 5mph.

Yes a extra inch of rubber on the bumper guards. If you look close you can tell the difference between the 73 and 74. Same with Challengers and Cudas.

Thanks guys, that makes sense. I figured it would be something like that.
