What was your favorite toy car?

The Ringmaster Jr with the bigger engine was definitely a step up from what I had been flying. It was a great flying plane and I was able to do some aerobatics with it using a fuel tank that allowed inverted flight.

I dug the engine and tank out 25+ yrs ago with the intent of building another plane, but there weren't many control line kits available at the time so I ended up putting everything back away. I guess RC had pretty much taken over by then and there wasn't much demand for the CL stuff.
I'll check with my brother if he has a Ringmaster or Ringmaster Jr kit if you are interested
He's got lots of kits.

How about tonka and other metal cars?

That orange corvette was a Tonka friction wind-up type car. We had a VW Rabbit version too… Built like a brick $?!thouse and would dent up a living room baseboard like nobodies business!

Later versions were a little smaller and had a button to release the stored energy.

I see a vintage RC10 there. :)

RC-10 in real good shape. I saved everything for it. Very nice original box (no room on shelf) and papers. Gold pan not many scrapes. Upgraded to ball bearing wheels instead of bronze bushings.

Had the RC-12 first but didn’t do well on the cracks in pavement around neighborhood. The Futaba controller carried over from the RC-12

RC-10 never really saw dirt… not much in our area in L.A.

Very nice, I love that ancient wheel controller behind your RC10. My first RC was The Frog, no matter how much I upgraded it, it still ran like crap. I got heavily into Kyosho Optimas after that and have resto-modded several.

I have a Hornet, then got the BigWig when it came out. Made swaybars for it etc, ended up 3rd in 4wd indoor season. In the 80s
