What's it worth?

Ten grand and hasn't run in close to 30 years? Id pass. Its a gamble as to how it is going to run drive and shift. I pulled my 383 with 120,000 showing on the clock and it was original miles. The cam bearings had the babbitt wearing off as did some of the mains and rods. !00 grand back then and usually the engine was getting tired. Same with trans... You could sink ten grand into that car really fast.
Its a nice car and if you can hear it run and it was drivable, if you wanted it bad enough, sure maybe ten. Not running as someone just posted 7 tops

Ok...its official...I believe the 30 year hiatus story now. This is what it looked like when he got it a few months ago

It's already been disclosed..read the whole string......but you should arrive tomorrow with your trailer or send him a non refundable payment for it...cause it's going on a trailer tomorrow from a local guy who planning on exporting it..bid full price and you'll get it. .(also disclosed in this thread).

Andrew, I've got one already done, all you have to have is 45K and come get it. Then you can make minor changes to suit yourself.

there should be a "plus %" for the 383-4 and the AC (usually 25 and 10)
and maybe a small minus% for the column shift

I absolutely HATE when people claim to know how many "are left"

Had my car sent to Ruma Illinois for some electrical work. A guy I know has his Packard Twelve convertible there, I believe it's a 1934. I asked how many are still out there, he said, I don't know, maybe 50 or so. He had a 2016 Z06 drive train put in it. I asked him how many drive 80 mph in a Packard going to Tunica Mississippi to go gambling............ He said one.

I know overseas sales is a thing, but is this becoming a bigger "thing?"

Anything that doesn't need rust repair is a big bonus to me. Buying a car on photos alone can be risky. A trip to get a good look at it may be worth it in the long run.

Almost...I'll bring it halfway..lol...houston is home
Car is in Houston? Woudn't mind going to at least look at it. After my divorce I don't have any money anymore unless the guy would trade for a beater 95 Dakota lol.

Cars that only had a hundred more or less built get a pass on the "only x left" bullshit meter.

Cars that had 2500 or more built usually peg that meter.

I'd even challenge anyone to get numbers on how many like my 1 of 1679 66 383 Coronet 440 "are left".

IIRC they built 10,000-ish 66 383 Coronet 500s, so I'd bet the production of 67 383-4 Satellites is close to that.

Be nice to know how many 67 Satellite 383-4's were built (since I have one). Numbers I recall were around 30k Satellites AND GTX 2d hdtps and 2k conv as they didn't count them separately. Somewhere I remember seeing that broken down to about 18k Sat / 12k GTX Hdtp and 1200 Sat / 800 GTX conv. Anyone have better info?

In 1992 I had numbers run on mine by AIC. Their report was 1401 Sat 2d Hdtp nationally and 69 in FL. No idea how good their numbers are.

For all parties interested...spoke to the owner today....the alleged exporter is dragging his heels....as of this afternoon it's still available. If you get it for less than 10500 I'd be surprised. Good luck....and happy hunting.

Course he is... So many tire kickers on everything these days. I'm a property manager, and I'm lucky if 1 out of 10 people show up for a scheduled showing, have the deposit they said they had, etc

Wait it out, I'm sure it will start dropping
