I have this 63 Belvedere advertised on FBBO and I have not had much interest at $3000. Have had two buyers going to send funds but never showed up.
What's it worth?
318,auto, new gas tank,85000 miles. You could drive it home if it had new tires.
Thanks.

It would be a great parts car due to the fact it’s a crew cab.

Too nice to part. I was interested but shipping was the issue.
Would make a nice grocery getter.

I respectively have to dis-agree on that statement....at least the part suggesting it'd be a good car to part out.

Even if it's a four door, that car is in WAY too good of condition to part out!!!!

Clean it up, throw a complete service on it....and drive it to the up-coming Carlisle show with a "FOR SALE" sign in the window.

Who knows....you might have it sold before you even get to the show!!!!

.....and I was any closer.....I'd probably be tempted myself......

More-doors are COOL.

And, they're going to appreciate because they're about all that's left as "entry-level" classic cars because all the musclecars have been built out/bought up/priced up. And their rarity is already on a par with the "one-of-"s in the musclecar realm because, really, who preserved their family truckster?? 95% of them were used hard, put away wet, and simply discarded when they wore out.

Look at wagon prices lately.

And, truck prices.

Used to be, you couldn't GIVE away an old wagon or truck.....now? People may not be hunting for them, but the market is at least paying them some respect.

If I were closer....

Sure looks like a cherry survivor, remarkable shape if this is a MN car. Take it to the back to the 50's show or other sizeable shows having a car corral. Could snag more for it.

That car is easily worth $3k to the guy who wants it. It would likely be his first/only cruiser. There's probably still a drive-in movie theater in his town. You just have to find that guy.

Your mistake is to advertise it on FBBO. Too many purist guys that turn their nose up at 4 doors no matter what it is. Probably good it doesn't have a bigger engine or someone would buy it to pull it and crush the car.

You should get a video of it running, hopefully the exhaust allows for some nice rumble, and put it on facebook for some younger folks that are looking for a cruiser.
That car, in upper midwest, is worth $3k all day every day. if a youngster comes looking with $2000-$2500 in hand, sell it to them as a good will gesture and know you did your part to keep the gearhead legacy alive.

I’m no purist. But if a guy had a Max Wedge car and needed parts, that crew cab would come in handy.

I'll tell it like it is. It's a four-door. Plain and simple. It's not a matter of a purist, or whatever. Nobody wanted it then, back in our youth, thus nobody wants it now. It's worth every penny for what you're asking.

Hey Rick you are very close once the plane ride is over. I imagine you don’t have time to drive it back.

Thanks to all for the comments with the price. I thought that the price about right. I will look at advertising it other places too. I have it inside so the car will not deteriorate. Jay

Might be what some have gotten accustomed to growing up. Rides that were cool back when I was a youngster were two-doors or verts. Older cars that were usually hot-rodded in the 60’s were coupes, 40’s, 50’s Chevies, Fords, a few wagons (2 door wagons being more popular). My folks always had 2-doors or verts.

Now and going back a couple decades, most cars are 4-doors. So later gen’s got used to those. Some are running around with big muffler rice grinders, lowered, and 4-doors. My nephew had a Subaru like this he loved and never gave my ’63 vert so much as a 2nd look. He killed that ride young beating the **** out of it and never checking the oil. Lol, even if he’d want my ride, I’d drive it over a cliff first.

Unmolested "survivor" with nice interior and paint?

In today's market?

Tough call either way. Plus being a 4 door is somewhat of a turn-off for most. Now if it were say a wagon??? Yes definitely. Good luck in your selling it...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

That car in my opinion is what I call a, "Going to the store"car. It's never going to be a show car or a drag car. But it's fun to take it to the store and get all the attention and comments because it's old and kind of weird. There's a Nova up in Denver that's a cool lime green. It's a 4-door 6-cylinder, 3-speed on the column. I like it but it's the same deal.

Make a 426 max wedge 4dr clone out of it

I'd buy it and then be on the hunt for a 2 door project....... if my plate wasn't already full
