Not 100% sure on the 71-72
but;
They do have a decent size wheel well
needs tires & wheels to fill it out
the std p245/60/15r front a 15x7" to 15x8" 4 to 4-1/2" BS
as long as it will clear tie-rods ends or the inner frame,
inside of the tires at full lock
& p295/50/15r rear a 15x9" with 4-1/2" to 5" BS
as long as it's not to close to the leafs or upper wheel wells inside
you could go with a 10" wide wheel, but need to 'physically measure'
for clearance
if the rims you can find in your specific sizes, aren't wide enough,
in the rear like only 8" wide
then maybe go to a p275/60/15r in the rear, is a lil' taller, not as wide
to me the wider the better,
as long as it doesn't rub or stick outside the wheel wells
or rub on inner top/outside of the inner-wheel wells, that's usually a really low car
needs to be nicely tucked inside
That would look good

the MRWSL1 ($1,287.93) in 17" staggered ones from Year One look good
their shipping is hwy robbery
5 on 4.5" bolt pattern
17x8" 4-1/2" BS front
& 17x9" 5" BS rear,
get a 26" front tire 9"-10" girth & a 28" Rear tire 11"-12" girth, nice stagger,
what ever that is in the metric Tire crap
seen a few of them looked great, with the right wider tires
as long as it has some sidewall to it, the contemporary 'rubber band' tires don't look right
