Wheel Size

I'm looking to use a pair of original (circa) `65 M & H Racemaster 8.2 x 15 slicks for my AWB project - `65 Belvedere. I'd like to mount them on a set of 7" wide wheels that I have but want to make sure 7" is wide enough. I can't find any tire-to-wheel info on tires this old. The car will be for show only - no racing. Will these tires fit okay on a 7" rim?

I use 9" slicks on 7" wide cop wheels on my 64 belvedere with no problems.

275 60 15 goes on 7" with no problem,depending on manufacturer can be 10' at the bulge

I also use 7" wheels and run these 30 x 9 Hoosier radial slicks. They work fine and it hooks just as good as 8" wheels did. Ron
