Not on the rearend itself but check the brakelines and parking brake cables. 50 years of rust on those are what will cause you headaches

Common rust areas on the B Bodies are: trunk pan, floor pan in front, wheel wells in back, and between trunk lid and lower part of rear window. Make sure the frame isn't rusted thru in the rear axle area, in front of the shackle mount. I have seen this on cars from high humidity ares like Missouri and the deep south.

And the front subframe particularly in the A arm mounting area. Axles are usually thick enough that it has to be really bad, I've got one bad enough that I wouldn't use but they are peanuts to replace in comparison to major metal work.

Front frame rails where the shock tower mounts to frame rails. Inside of the frame rail it is solid and water cannot drain.

if the rear and springs are that crusty, it probably needs all the rear end sheet metal replaced....... a "solid" B body by today's standards has decent frame rails, most of these cars need everything once you start digging in

Thanks for all the tips, guys, but fenders, floors, trunk pan, and frame rails all good! Just wasn't sure about the rust on the rear end.....appreciate it!

Rust on the front air cowl, if you pull the lower trim under the windshield it may be rusted out.

There's nothing wrong with what I see there a send blast and some paint or powder coat will make it brand new looking again!
