When Mopar guys get together...

When FBBO member @68 Sport Satellite called me awhile back asking about torsion bars, I invited him to make the drive up to the KD garage.
Why not put the word out to a couple other guys?

There he is with the dark hair. The Dart belongs to FABO/FBBO member CoronetDarter.

The Satellite has a stroked 400, the Dart has a stroked 5.9. Both cars run strong.

Rich/Coronet Darter is the blonde guy. He had the idea to arrange the cars in a Red, White and Blue arrangement in honor of the American Flag.

Another Mopar guy was here, John. (JBC 426 at FABO) He drove his truck since he was leaving here to drive another 90 minutes east of here.
In blue, he shows the side of him that looks the best. (Kidding)

Dwayne/68 Sport Satellite wanted to use the car lift to swap from 1.0 to 1.06 torsion bars.

Easy job. the hardest part was pushing the torsion bar boots over the hexes on the end.
Good times.

I used to have more car buddies but as time moves on and people's priorities change, there seem to be fewer car guys around. Today was a great time. I'd love to do this more.

Yup. And its going to get booted.
This 64 will be coming in the future. The owner had to hold off for now due to spouse health issues. Otherwise it would be on the rack right now.

I really enjoy days like these. They don't come along often enough. Car guys wrenching on our stuff, telling jokes, talking about women, our families and interests beyond the cars.

I was hyperaware of the radio to be fast to change the channel if Joan Jett or KISS came on the radio.
I can't stand the overplayed "I love Rock N Roll" song and the "I want to Rock and Roll all night" song also grates my nerves.

I drove both cars today.. Both are fun to bomb around in... Yesterday I put about 90 miles on the red car & did a pretty good launch smoking the tires through first & second...... Just cause they are nice doesn't mean ya can't beat on them some...
