I have a 73 RR and my metering/booster/brake valve is broken. When applying the brakes,
the front disc brakes operate but the back drum brakes do not. I checked all lines and the front calipers drip fluid when cracked open. The back wheel cylinders do not. There is no fluid in the line from the front to the back. and my master cylinder checked out. I need to purchase one of these.....
does anyone know where I can get one? ( a dealer said the part number was 3642233 ????)

Classic Industries is out of stock and don't know when they will, if ever, get the part.

Thanks in advance. Dennis

You do know you can take the switch out and the end cap and push the piston back to center on that . It get shuttled when you loose fluid to the fron or the back system. Sound like all you need to do is recenter it.

Did you try taking it apart and cleaning it out?

I heard the inline tube valves were problematic for some people. Something about badly machined valve bodies???(dont know this firsthand but read several complaints out on the interweb for what its worth). You can google it and learn more...You can also contact these guys and see if they have the rebuild kit for your style valve. They sell excellent rebuild kits for the brass valves for $15.00...

Called them and they have none and can not get any. But, talked to them and they steered me to another part. Very good customer help.

I tried everything I could but it would not move to the center. As we know, I can't take it completely apart like I want to so I could not get it as clean as it needs to be and it seems to be really frozen in place. Next best thing is to get another part that is as close to the original as possible. I bought one from Pirate Jack.
I will modify and make it work. Thanks to all.
