Where did my post go?

I was down loading pictures early this morning and writing a post about my 1964 Polara and how I acquired it. After working with it for over an hour I must have pushed a wrong key and it disappeared.

Just prior to that I noticed on my screen to the lower right it said something like "saved at " such and such time. Like it auto saved what I had written. If so where did it go? And is it possible to retrieve it from somewhere so I do not have to re-write the whole (long story) thing?

Have had similar experiences with this site and a similar one. Have just gotten in the habit of copying the entire post before I click enter, so if it logs me out or the browser decides to freeze up, it's just a keystroke away.

Thanks for the response. I thought the same thing when it was too late. But my question is: If it auto saves the post, how do I access it if the system did save any of the post before it went into outerspace?

go back to the thread you were responding to and go to the bottom where you were filling it in. there should be a shadow of what you typed. click on it, and it will come back.
