Hi,I recently joined this site. Ive been trying to find a 1968 Satellite 4 door for a daily driver and have been looking for about two years before joining this site and have posted a wanted ad and so far nothing. My question is,where did all the 4 doors go? I see two door hardtops often, but the sedans seem to have vanished off the face of the earth. Did they all get used a parts cars for roadrunner and 2 drs?
I agree the 2dr hardtops are a far more attractive body style, but the 4 doors are still cool looking and far more practical, less expensive and make better daily drivers. They are what most folks had. They are also less likely to be stolen because nobody wants them. Lol.
I live in SoCal. So they didnt all rust away out here..Just weird I cant seem to find one. I see 67 Satellites,66 coronets and all manner of other mopar sedans...no 68 or 69 satellites though,or even Dodge Coronets of those years.
Watch the old tv shows like McCloud and the streets were once flooded with them. They even used them as cabs. So where are they all hiding?

My wagon has a bunch of extra doors and a tailgate!

Try FB market place all around the USA

Ive been looking each day 20 times a day. Only thing that came up was a 68 coronet for 3,900 and it eas a daily driver with ac. Contacted the guy the second I saw the ad. Told him id come right away. Seller never replied for 4 days. Sent several messahes and it vanished.. im trying to avoid anhthing out of state. Delivery cost adds up and you cant see what youre buying in person

Keep hunting around. It took me about 1.5 years to find a decent driver quality unit. Found it on Marketplace, used my brothers login as homie don't do social media. Next month will be my 2nd year of ownership. Got it from a gent in Agoura Hills. I've perused many different venues to track one down. Craigs, FB, Classic Auto Trader, car shows/swaps, Hemmings, MCG[ Mopar Collectors Guide]. They're around, just need to spend some time looking. Even in your own backyard.
