Where have all the four doors gone? 1968 Satellite

https://www.ebay.com/itm/387486577149

ford guys with a bunch of mopars for sale
the search I did on eBay was worthless with guys like the POS seller: ravjudge, who pollute our searches with their keyword spamming. I found it with a google search

Thanks. It looks to have a decent body. Why do people let these cars sit and deteriorate like that. I bet it ran and drove when it was impounded.

They are Ford guys and it's a 4 door. At that price (and asking for an offer), somebody with a two door will buy and part it

Here is my 1964 Dodge Polara 4-door hardtop.

This one left the U.S. in 1996.
May have been chopped up if it hadn't, seems like a lot of 4-doors went down that road.
I remember 20 years ago or so, I'd see a nice 4-door b-body for sale every now and then, for about 1000 bucks.

It's basically a driver, but I never drive it in the rain or on salted roads.
The rear doors come in handy with packing luggage for roadtrips, I can even fit my mtb back there.

I searched forever to find mine. A solid 4 door has gotten much harder to find than an equivalent 2 door in the post cash-for-clunkers world.

I put a good radio, 4 wheel discs, poly frame bushings, and heated up the slant six in this one, but otherwise have just been putting several hundred miles a week on it going to work and hauling three kids around:

Beautiful car. I would prefer a blue one with blue interior, second choice would be green with green interior. Never liked vinyl roofs though, even less when you see the rust issues they cause.

Same here. I rememeber these being cheap and still showing up 20-25 years ago. I remember someone offering me a beautiful 1969 Fury four door hardtop in green with a black vinyl roof for $500. Perfect running, rust free car with ac and I passed on it because I was only interested in Forward Look cars and the later 60's B non fuselage bodies. Wish I had bought it now. It was a super nice car.
Ive come to appreciate them, but still think the 68-69 Satellites are by far the most attractive of their kind. Im sure one is out there hiding somewhere. I see them far away in places like Georgia etc. But non in southern California. The prejudice is still against 4 drs.
