Where have all the four doors gone? 1968 Satellite

I’ve been driving a 4 door ‘68 Satellite as my only transportation since 2014. I can’t go two days without someone asking if it’s for sale. It’s an interesting car, but the roof, windshield, vent wings and doors being 3” higher than the 2 door… it just looks like an old man car. Besides, while my Dad had a brand new ‘68 4 door, it was the 2 door H/T that I lusted for. It looks overwhelming better to me. And as far as having my *** handed to me, the 383 surprises most of the SUV’s that think they are going to pull a right hand pass. Besides, I’m 60 yo, and even when I was younger I just drove and let all the others go by.View attachment 1979990
Great car! You have a wagon too?! I agree, the two door hardtops are so much sleeker and sexier. Same with the 57-58 Plymouth 4dr vs 2 door hardtop and the 57-58 dodge 2 door hardtop vs 4dr sedan. The higher and longer roof and pillars and extra doors throw it off. Any version of those have become "attractive nuisances" because of Christine. If only there was a way to go back to when these were new,or when they were unwanted used cars that were plentiful back in the 70's.
