My 72 SSP's interior is not in too bad of shape. The seats are all good and the upper door panels are perfect, but the dash is cracked and so are the armrests and the sail panels are toast. I was wondering if anyone knew a generic brand of vinyl fabric that is close in color and grain to the black stuff mopar used?
What i found at my local shops is more of a charcoal color and the grain is too big.

My plan is to strip off the old cracked vinyl, repair/replace the foam and wrap it in new vinyl. Anyone ever done this? (I figured if this works, next time I will cover it in leather)

81160_Interior_Web.jpg5354w.jpg I had a little ole lady sew mine up real quality leather, but doing your own as I have is easy and pick your own Grain etc.... thin is good-thick is a bitch wrapping, so go with thin as in 1-2 mil max...

Thanks for the tips. I requested some samples from sms

Sms is ok, but pricey. I do e-bay as to vinyl, and go with no backing/thin as in 1 mil, easy to work with heat and form into grooves etc.. Not hard and fun project. Dashs are vacuam formed and heavier material at 250 degree's, therefore not easy to reproduce... Iv'e done 2 so far,but no pro.......
