Where's Bob Tile

Yikes, another Gen 3.
For the young at heart at least.
Good luck Bob

All the kids are doing it...
quite a bit of weight off the nose & overall too
'average' gen 3 Hemi weighs like 400#s,
not sure what is still on it,
I suspect a longblock with intake & exhaust manifolds,
not fully dressed
an RB all iron is 670# & a B is 620#, G2 426 Hemi, starts out life at 765#
an all alloy/alum. G2 is still around 540-550#s
even taking 100#s+ off with alum stuff vs iron, it's a considerable difference

I haven't gone that route yet,
I'm still a lil' stubborn headed
have too many parts for the B/RB stuff still
I think in many ways it's the way of the future...
But;
thinking about doing it to my 99 Dakota 4x4 when the 5.2ltr/318 Magnum goes away
it only has 60k miles, so might be a while

When all assembled, my 440s and the hemi weigh pretty much the same.
I keep breaking 440s so I'm making the switch.
I didn't want to go aftermarket block on the 440 stuff.
I'm going carbureted and 727 on the hemi for now.
It should be around 800 hp the way I'm building it.
The stock block should be good for 1-1/2 times that power where I kept breaking 440s at about 730
