I've got two idlers, one is very similar to the one that was on the car, thinner arm but lacks an grease nipple on the pivot - has bushes instead I guess. The other have a beefier arm and it has an unusual path, two grease nipples. Both seam to start and end at the same spot and at the same angle.

Question is, will the both fit my 68 Coronet? Or is the beefy arm one for a different car? I was told it's was for a b body.

If they both fit, which one would be better to use? Beefy arm with two grease nipples or the bushed stock style arm?

Cheers guys

On my 71 Charger I was faced with a similar decision as well. I went with the flatter/thicker piece. Top one in your last picture and have had no problems with it.

The CORRECT answer is MOOG ONLY --- the K7041 fits
'68 - '72 "B" and '70 - '72 "E" --- ALL ---
Anything else is inferior.....

I went with the more stock like arm because of the height of the bushing at the k-frame end. Not 100% sure where the chunkier one came from, but the height of the k frame end bushing was too short. The proforge (stock style one) was a bit too tall, but I removed one of the zinc coated washer/spacers and it came into spec.

The problem I have now is the bolt isn't long enough because of the reinforcement I welded onto the idler arm mount. I'm running something that will work, but I will need to order in the odd size from a specialist at some point.
