Deceased, But not forgotton
For you who may be thinking about putting in these overlays, I was told by one member here that i should post the pic i showed him, its rather blurry, ill learn to operate the camera someday.. Im far from being thru with the dash, the steering collum needs to be put back in order and the new dash cap put on and the final thing is the passenger side gauge setup im building, but these couple pic will show how they look anyway... Im real pleased with the overlays as i didn't have to remove the indicators... I have only one clear pic, im sorry for the one that isint, when im completely finished i will post up a couple CLEAR photos of the dash.. It was well worth the effort and adding the LED lights made it even better. i do have to say sitting in the car it sure looks better then the photo shows...
1st pic with flash day before i started to put wood grain front in and hook it all up, red fender turn signal lights go good with it
2nd (more then i thought) is still day before with LED's in it..
3rd put together (no steering )
This the last one is that is blurry some, sorry, But anyway, if anyone wants to use these overlays, the hardest thing is tearing all out to put them in, the LED lights come in several colors and if your just doing the dash and nothing else you take the old bulbs out (7 with this needed) and replace with the bulbs, Bulbs are 5 dollars a piece, the overlays are 20 dollars, kit to put them in is 5 bucks, life time guarantee with overlays and shipping was free I have under 80 dollars in everything.. Ill post up decent pics when dash cap is in with the gauges..
The dark areas for whatever reason doesn't seem to be visible sitting in the car, you folks can be the judge, im not one bit sorry i did all this myself.. I just wanted to share the idea and give some prices to any who may want to do it.. One more thing, that could mean a lot to any who decides to do this but think red is dark, IT IS, red is the darkest of the LED lights, and also If you take the factory blueish green filters off the cluster, it becomes brighter... This i did, pic cant really show anyone, this is bright in the car, very easy to see everything..
