Came across this Mustang the other day in Burbank, Hipo 289/4 speed....the guy wisely took a left immediately after the intersection, (I would have beaten it like a drum). 001.jpg

The hipo 289's actually ran pretty good and the 65-66 Mustangs are not very heavy. My 66 Fastback (3050 lbs) with a 2V 289 but with bolt ons ran a 15 flat with a 4 speed and 2.80 gears and getting a higher compression 289 into the 13's wasn't too difficult. Those Fastbacks are pretty cool cars imo but even I got tired of things breaking and finally got rid of all my Ford stuff by the time the late 70's rolled around.

too bad!wooda looked like a scene from bullitt.mustang chasing a b body.

Good for you and the musty. I hear Burbank pd don't mess around
