Why is dentistry so important?

I can’t stress the importance of good dentistry enough. Because I lived a wild life and was even homeless, on the streets twice I had terrible teeth. Bad teeth not only affects how people regard you, it adversely affects your health. The infections and germs can damage your heart, even.
Once I lost a front tooth it became very obvious. When I would first meet people you could see their eyes quickly dart to the empty space in my smile, and their demeanour would change. I stopped smiling as a result.
I found an amazing dentist here in Mexico. After several extractions and surgery to straighten my crooked jaw I got eight implants, a three tooth bridge and four crowns. It cost about a third of what it would cost in Canada and the service and equipment were better.
I have never felt better, both mentally and physically. It is taking a while to get used to spontaneously smiling again, but it is happening.

I'm 63 come mid March... I've drank on average 5 liters of Pepsi a day since I was pre 20. I have ALL of my teeth... some **** is just genetic ! My Father on the other hand had full dentures at 38 or so... MOM ....??

At age 62, my wife has never had a cavity.

Me, on the other hand, never brushed my teeth when I was young, so I had a bunch of cavities and fillings. Why my mother never made me brush my teeth baffles me to this day. I now haven’t had a cavity in decades.

Because of the fillings I have, I was like a Nazi when it came to my kids brushing their teeth every morning and night, and it paid off.

Sorry about your misfortune. You should have shaved one eyebrow and no one would have noticed your missing tooth. lol

I took care of you teeth but didn't go to the dentist regularly because i didnt have cavities.
My wife made me after we married. I wish I would have gone more. I needed a deep scaling.
That is medieval surgery. They slice your gums and pull them down and scrape the build up off the teeth. Then stitch it all back up. It ain't fun
Go to the dentist!
