I'm sure that many of us have no idea of what it takes to keep a website up and running.
I sure don't. I can only guess that there are many behind the scenes actions that occur without any of us knowing. Since many of us are just along for the ride, the only thing that we seem to notice is when something changes. Sometimes, the changes are great and the site runs faster. Other times, something we like gets changed and it isn't as good.
I don't see a problem with asking questions about the changes. I'm not claiming that I could do better, I just wonder why some changes had to happen. Maybe new systems accidently omit features that were liked or maybe they were incompatible with the new system?

I have no problems with questions at all.

Software has to be updated from time to time for various reasons. Security and compatibility with current web standards are just a few.

I generally try to hold off as long as I can as its a tremendous amount of work sometimes, as well as cost and I don't like the disruption of things anymore then you do. So I don't update as often as I can.

Sometimes, the changes are great and the site runs faster. Other times, something we like gets changed and it isn't as good.

Well, I suppose that's how everything in life works.
