Will the Motown Missile ever be returned to the Krisner family?

well its been over 2 years now and the Motown Missile hasn't been returned to the Krisner family.
How long does an estate take to settle?

I knew Kevin as he only lived about 20 miles from me. He was very interested in getting the Missile back into race condition. I worked on this car quite often in the mid seventies when Fons ran it so Kevin had a ton of questions.
His unfortunate passing was very sad. It left a huge mess to sort out to settle his estate. The car will be returned to the proper owner once the correct paperwork is presented from the Court. The person that has possession of the car now is just trying to ensure that the right person gets the car. Without a court order, he releases the car and it is not the rightfull owner he would become liable for the value of the car. Who would want to take that risk? :confused:

Thats why I got booted from Moparts because the truth was told. All evidence of the whole conspiracy was deleted by a mod over there to cover up the theft.

I have personally taken interest in this matter and will in fact pay all legal fees to get it back to the Kristner family.

If that were me,i'd tow it right back to the owners home.not devalue it and lein the car so the Kristners cant get it back without a court order.

I am positive that Fred would like to be rid of it as well, it is a liability he does not want. Plus it is taking up space in his building. I doubt that he has had it out to the track, who would want take the risk of something happening to it:confused:

not taking it to the track but campaining it at the car shows in north carolina and viriginia .we have pictures of it there.
why would he have the right and balls to bring it there. its not his to do anything.

1 more thing, any chance you have the Christner families phone number and address so i can get the ball rolling.

If you are referring to Fred Engelhart there are MANY that will disagree with this. He got in financial trouble in the last few years and sold a lot of cars and never delivered titles, sold other cars that were not his to sell and kept the cash, etc. This is no slander as it has been posted on other sites with a lot more details. I can't imagine people having enough trust in someone else to allow this to happen with their cars but it DID happen.

Maybe I don't know Fred like you do Chris, but I know him well enough to know he wouldn't steal a car...... from a friend none the less... he is doing what anyone would do to make sure things get taken care of the right way.. So let me ask you both something.. do you know anything about Kevin or his family? His relationship to Fred? Who exactly in his family owns the Missle then guys? Chris I know you and Fred have problems with eachother now... but work them out between eachother on a private basis.. Hopefully the right people (Kevin's father) gets the car soon. Kevin had a heck of a time getting it back himself from his supposed partner back when he put up all the cash to buy it from Ron. That is a story in itself:confused: I am sure the family has confindent lawyers working on this. It is a neat old race car that adds to any show that it is shown at. So lets hope for a good ending soon. :yes:

just for the record, it was in the windy city picking up a cuda when the forum got hacked coming through your great state of ohio and getting creamed by a runaway trailer.
the ip address that was determined as the origin of the hack of moparts was in carlisle, pa.

I can asured you nothing is being kept from anyone. As far as what's taking so long to settle the estate, my grandmother passed away 5 years ago and we're still trying to settle. And as for the car going to shows in NC &VA i'd like to know where ?? I don't miss a show or a big race, and being i was the last person to sit their azz in the Missile and go down the track I'd love to see it back out on the track ( me and it have some unfinished business). If you people ever claimed to be Kev's friends you'd let let go and let the family handle this in private. I was there on Saturday Oct 17 2008 in Henderson NC and was involed in the disscussion as to where the car was going to be updated and prepaird for me to drive for the 2009 match race season, so no one stole anything from anybody. Can't we all act like grown folks and move on...

I have no dog in this fight, but I do have a love for historical Mopar Race Cars. I have also gone through a protracted probate court deal. My Mother’s estate took more than three years to settle and close, and it did not involve many issues. It definitely did not involve issues as to whom was the beneficiary of her estate.
I do not understand what seems to be the real issue, in this verbal attack? But I do suggest that everyone try to calm down. There are very explicit laws that govern what and how people express themselves. Yes, a person can say anything they want, about someone else, and to the uneducated masses it appears to be true. But, if the person being attacked decides to contest the comments, then it can get really ugly, real fast.
I understand that the Internet is, at times, viewed as the court of public opinion, and that sometimes people get carried away with what they say - but just be careful. Defamation, libel, and slander are very ugly words.
