Thats what I thought, but on the chevy I can't see how it could be done, on the jeep it looks easy, the blade is held on by metal clips, on the chevy and toyota it looks like they don't come apart..Dealers replace only the inserts. Not sure how to get them wholesale in small quantities though.
Its not as easy as it looks, lol. I am not ashamed to say it takes a little thought to change new wiper blades I think the old ones were much easier.. I thought I broke a one, they are cheap plastic junk clips and fastener systems.
Not down here. I rarely sold inserts to the dealers in my area. The dealer would just buy the complete blade, snap them on, and charge their customer the few bucks extra the complete blade cost.Dealers replace only the inserts. Not sure how to get them wholesale in small quantities though.
I replaced blades recently on a Friend's Buick......hadn’t done blades for quite some time before that. Went to an auto zone thinking I'd get the rubber refills & it would cost about 15.00. No straight refills of course & the blades were 30 & change....woke me up. Since only one blade on car was bad, I only replaced it.
I'm still pissed about headlights...I was just fine with universal buckets & replacing sealed beams @ 5.00 a pop....& they were GLASS!! Horrible, horrible.
Yup....aftermarket(never fits)light boxes for 08 era toy corolla **** boxes were around 110.00 a pop @jobbers mark down.....what a shop I worked at was paying,,,for the newer salvage cars we built back up. Mercedes?¡!?! Well north of a grand for OEM for their base models I imagine.Agree.. I have a 98 dakota pu. The plastic cover on the headlights is a mess. I polished it a couple of times and that does not last long.
A replacement is the entire assembly at several hundred dollars each. --eek
