was wondering if anyone has those propane heaters that mount on top of propane tank any good?????thanks
Pat

They work good however they can also create CO poisoning if the area is not vented.

Radiant heaters are great to use outdoors as you can direct the heat to the area you are working
Just do not use in an enclosed space they consume oxygen

X2 on that. If you are going to use it in an enclosed space you need something that vent to the outside.

Look on craigs list for a use furnace.

X3 - It just is counter productive to use propane like that. You have to open a window to vent, but now your letting all that heat out. Wouldn't be a lot easier just to take a match to a couple of Jacksons? Just a stupid waste of $$ if you ask me!

Just what do you want to heat with it? Outside and away from fuel fumes I'd say they are fine.
In an insulated garage I'd prefer a properly vented natural/propane gas fired ceiling mount furnace or non-glowing element electric. I use a Farenheat electric in my small garage.
