Wiper linkage bushings

Is there a correct way to install those plastic bushings? I put them in and the linkage keeps popping out. What am I doing wrong?
Should there be some kind of 'C-Clip' or 'D-Ring' to keep themn in place?

I used channel locks, I had the same problem, just keep pushing them in till they "click" kinda and they wont pop out. Good luck

Look at your pivot pin that the bushing slips over. You will probably see a little machined groove on it just beyond the end of the bushing. That is where the clip goes. One of mine was missing when I got the car. I picked up a pair of nice stainless steel e-clips at the hardware store, and no more problems since.
