Don't know why my last post got deleted. I wasn't asking if someone had one. I was asking if someone knew of a place where they are available. If I wanted one from a member I would have posted it in the Wanted section. Thank you very much. Now...

I took the motor off and apart and sure enough, it's toast. Literally. So how hard is it to rebuild a motor like this? There doesn't appear to be too much to it. I guess the big question would be where would one find parts such as the brushes and what I'm assuming was a bearing/bushing on the tail of the shaft?

Or...would it be possible to retrofit a newer motor and switch in the '62? What's in there now is a single speed motor. I think all were 2 and 3 speed later on after '65 or so. Plus the newer motors are more readily available. Just a thought...

I have a wiper motor from my 63. Think it still works. I think the 63 was a single speed. This car has been a race car for many years, so NHRA doesn't require a wiper so out it came.

I did reply to your thread last night. A member here @Topher rebuilds wiper motors so try and get a hold of him. Or Home

The bushing can still be seen in the end cover.

The up "armature rebuilders" or "electric motor rebuilders" - those guys can probably handle the armature - not sure about the field coils but its worth asking.

Yeah, I saw it but someone decided to delete my post before I could do anything. Thank you for reposting the guys name.
Yep I was confused why it was deleted. Good luck.

Does the wiper motor ground itself through the bracket on the firewall? I went to test another motor and noticed it'll only operate if it's bolted in. I checked the wiring and one wire has power continuously while the other only has power when the switch is on, which makes sense. Having constant power doesn't make sense though...

Here's Toph's contact info.
He will probably be at Carlisle this coming week. Bring it, and drop it off...

I just wanted to say thank you for your guys' help. I ended up finding one at an old Mopar garage/yard here and it's working fine. Still apprehensive when I use it, but at least there is a working one in there now.
