wiper motor question

Hey everyone, this may be a silly question, but here it is. On a 68 two speed wiper motor it has what looks like a ballast resister. Is it infact a ballast resister or some thing else? And if not where might I find one. Will a regular ballast resister work? Thanks for any input.

Check with Jules he knows everything there is to know about wiper motors. www.julesdaddio.com , there are a few others that rebuild them that would know but I'm not sure if any of them are members here or not.

Yes it is, and a regular ballast will work you'll just need to trim off the large attaching tab. Or if you want a wiper ballast, I got a few around, just pay the shipping, I'll give you one.
