I can't find the old style refill blades.

I bought "exact fit" assemblies, but they are too tall to park under the hood correctly, and the pivot point in where the arm attaches hits the hood.
The OEM blade holder is MUCH shorter in height.

They work, but it doesn't look right, and I don't want to keep dinging my hood every time they try to park.

What is everyone else doing?

Ask your local parts store for the Wiper Refills, or, cut-to-fit blades. Mine is a different year/ model car...but I bought universal blades from Autozone...Anco/ Wiper Refills. They can be bought in varying lengths. With some brands you may have to cut the rubber blade and 'snap' the two metal spars (some are scored every 1/2 inch) at the proper length.

Below are some examples.

Autozone: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/pa...d=Wiper+Refill&fromString=search&newYmme=true

NAPA: http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/R...yword&Nty=1&Dn=0&D=wiper+refill&Dk=1&Dp=3&N=0

Hope this helps.

Great question, YYI; I've got the same problem with my "cowl hidden" blades. They're listed as RR replacements, but need to be lifted out by hand because they're too tall. (Not that the car ever goes out in the rain, but... just in case.)

I tried the cut to fit style, but they are the "new" style with two metal strips, and they don't really work easily with the old blade holders because whoever engineered the "new" style decided to make the "standard" narrower.
I suppose I could squeeze my mint origianal blade holders in about 1/8 inch.
I actually gave that 15 min, but it looked like they were gonna twist, and be irreparably damaged.

In FL, you have a 30%-60% chance of rain EVERY DAY from May to September.

...actually it's more like 30%-100%!

Thanks. My next move was gonna be finding the lowest profile blade/holder I could.
I was thinking that sinlge piece (vs four clip) might be the way to go.
Not crazy about the anachonistic look, but might not be too bad.
(I'f I don't get chrome or hot pink plastic)

Hopefully I can find some for less than $50. Ouch!

...wait a minute...those are the factory?

All four of mine have the same style and they are different.

I'll get a pic when I can.

It's actually raining right now!

Not sure if this helps but I found some original arms at the swap meet and used the rubber blades out of the anco ones I had, they slid right in and are good to go. bosh's work too.

These are 15"- ours call for 16, and 17 fits.

$26 plus $6 shipping for a pair-

I wonder if it's the new skinny 2 metal strip style blade in a low profile holder, or if it's the old style wide plastic?

The Trico site says they are available at the Advance store near my house, but that's where I bought mine and no one suggested that. Guess I'll have to take them the part number.
