The DMV has gotten slightly better here (Napa) in the past couple of years, but I still swear that there first job is to find a way to get you to leave the building without helping you to get what you went there for.

California dmv is another HUGE reason I adore Arizona
Last time in AZ ADOT, in/out in ten minutes, with five years of registration for under $100.
No smog bullshit either. The wind we have makes smog impossible.

I used a mobile vin verifier and then after to DMV for two cars it wasn’t bad but need to get the right guy to do your vins FYI. All I had was bill of sale and vins not even on the dash just in my hands took pics and did paperwork. Both cars in my name now after 20 years. I had the time was off for disability from surgery but lots of time it took.

Does this Road Runner have the original seats?

The car looks to be in super condition. I would think it would be worth $20k easily with the choice of engines, the trans, new title, and hopefully the fender tag can be found to go with it.

He's put seats in it, they aren't the original seats but they are good cores...

Cool...my very first ride in a muscle car, was a '69 Road Runner 383 4 speed, with a bench seat. It was 1978... It was B5 blue and a 17 year old kid down my street owned it. I was 13...and he gave me a thrill ride in that car! LoL Fun times!

Does the car still have the Air Grabber parts by any chance??

The scoops with the red screens are then, the box is gone... He does have a complete hood with the scoops, box and the air cleaner but he intends to sell it separately unless the person who buys the car wants to buy it separately...

Any update on this car? Was looking around for a b-body project but I would hold off if this car was going to hit the market soon. Would be interested in the car with or without the title. This one appears to be worth the wait.

He won't sell it without clean paperwork... He's still working on it, just yesterday he sent documents by registered mail to Sacramento DMV... Never had anywhere near this much trouble in the past...

Did you check his toolbox for the fender tag? We found my buddies for his 68Rr in a zip lock bag in his box after he died and I finished his car. Also parts books are worth checking?

We completely went through everything... This was a 3500sf rented building... When it was returned to the property owner it was completely empty...

Care to share what "mobile VIN verifier" service you used, and what was included?

Did they do a NCIC check?
