I recently put a commercial pitching machine I have on craigslist
machine retails for 3500-3900 plus shipping new
my machine is used but well maintained and good working order
I was asking 1500.00 during summer and dropped my price down to 950.00.
I had a serious buyer after a lengthy phone conversation was going to let it go for 750.00 ( BTW the cost of a new compressor for my shop).
we left off he needed to get the time off from work and borrow a van or pick up truck to get it. it was a cash deal, and I was firm on my price.

2 days ago guy has the audacity to ask me to take 650.00 to offset his travel expenses or he would be happy to pay me through paypal the 750.00 we agreed on if I delivered it to him 3 hours away
I have been abusing him through emails for the last 2 days
I told him if really wanted the machine it was 1500.00 my origignal asking price had to be paid through paypal and he had to pay the fees and I would deliver it to him 7 days after I recieved the cash from paypal
now he realized what ag great deal he was getting and is apologetic and offering me 800.00 although he hasnt said if I accept if he was picking it up or expecting me to deliver
if at all the exchanges are proving to be entertaining
WTF is it with people?

I agree, take the $800 which includes a "stupid fee" for being a jagoff. Make him pick it up but only after he pays with paypal so there's no confrontation during the cash exchange.
Just think how good it's going to be when you get that new compressor and that pitching machine is out of your way.
