To use as a dummy so it doesn't have to be perfect. I have tried the plastic ones but they're rubbish.
 
Or does anyone know of anyone who makes a dummy shaft to do the job?
 
Lenco Racing Transmissions advertises them on their site. Call 619 287 2500 and ask for Matt Moore.
