Beast of a starter @ 3HP, unfortunately you'll have to grind a small amount off of the mounting plate surface to mate it to a 440 because it won't clock all the way to screw in the bottom mounting bolt (literally, less than 1/8" off from fitting perfectly), but it will work with practically any other SBM/BBM combination as-is, new other than test fitment. I've had it for a year in the box prior to installing so I'm not able to return it, I did verify it functioned prior to my attempt. This is a $400 starter new, if your 440 engine is on the stand or you don't care about minor grinding on a new part, it would be perfect, or if you're running a 383-400; it's even better as it fits without any issue.
