The Dirty Mary Charger was green in real life, it was yellow on the theater screens (and early video tape versions) when it first came out.

Whoever did the color corrections on the final print though that the green was a film or lighting error and 'corrected' it. The recent DVD releases have the original green back on the car.

Don Johnson 'allegedly' claimed that he did own a real 71 Hemi cuda' vert.

Mike Brady drove a pretty cool Cuda 'vert too if I remember...probably dang near new at the time.

By these photos above, I disagree. The lower photo looks to be darker overall as if a filter were used. The top photo has a more realistic yellow glow like you'd see in the California sun. Note the identical image except for the lack of glare on the bumper in the bottom photo, along with a bit less clarity. Look at the blurry license plate too.
Studios use filters to create a sense of mood. Many James Cameron movies used a blue filter.

It’s tied between the General and KITT, but if I had a Trans Am I’d probably make it into the evil KARR instead of KITT.
Maybe Rockford’s Firebird in third.

I read the OPs words and focused on TV cars but that list is limited so I understand the addition of movie cars.
The Rockford Firebird was so plain and non-descript, it just blended in. The Chevy/GMC in The Fall Guy was too except for the stickers for his stunt team.
Al Bundy drove a Duster, though he often referred to it as The Dodge. I have a truck that sort of looks like the Simon and Simon Power Wagon...

Hunter with Fred Dryer had Dodge and Plymouth 4 door sedans like Rosco drove in The Dukes of Hazzard.

They're not the same image, they're similar frame grabs taken from different versions of the same movie. Look at how the white car lines up above the left Charger fender in both shots...they're not quite in the same place.

On further investigation, it seems the movie crew painted the cars in GY3, Citron Yella, which was a 1971 only color. It's not too hard to make that shade shift from greenish to yellow, depending on the lighting.

I believe that was a 1970. And it was in mecum booth as MCACN show in Chicago this year

And it was a local SoCal car until someone from upper midwest bought it a couple years ago.

I agree, and I didn't take the frame grabs, just found them. If I had taken them they would have been much sharper. It's also possible that when turning the car yellow originally, it affected the rest of the image as well.

I guess maybe I have another favourite film featured B Body. But my appreciation is only for the car and not for it's appearance on the silver screen. My 78 Fury was in the movie Fatman
