Who's upgrading?

Did the big upgrade last winter with the 400/512 stroker. Once I got it out on the street, quickly realized the front suspension /steering needs a little work. Ok, maybe a ton of work. So, I know it's not a race car and just a street car, but that will be my direction this winter.. Hope everyone projects get done! Good luck!

I'm moving my Satellite from a street car to a drag car. Mods include SS leaf springs, comp adjustable shocks, revised fuel system and new 512" motor. We'll see how it works out. The dyno says the 512" makes way more power than anything I've had before.

That 512 should be an amazing difference. I rebuilt my front end last year. all new from oem. firmfeel is a good site to visit. corner balanced. drives like a caddie from launch through the traps.

Nothing nicer, than driving your car in high-gear ...and able to do it with one hand.

I haven't found top end with it yet! Comes out of the hole good though
However it Gets pretty loose on these bumpy Maine roads!

good luck...hope all goes smoothly
Not smooth. Had motor mount issues on driver side with the external oil pump. That's modified and now clears. Time for a break. Will do more tomorrow.

Not that I know anything, and I was thinking how cool the external pickup looked, but I was wondering about the motor mount. I was guessing the shiny metal plate I saw might replace it, but I guess not? Hang in there. It's going to be great.

The front plate is replacing the motor mounts but still had to cut beyond that

external oil is the best way to go Mopars are known for not having the best internal system.

You've got great momentum going on that project. I'm envious.

Hi all, and happy 2017! It's been a while since I've posted here at FBBO, glad to stop back in.

I have plans to do more racing in '17, and will be running a points series for the first time in my life. So, I'm focusing a few projects on making the car a more repeatable as well as a little faster.
- Upgrading from an older Holley 830cfm downleg booster carb, to a brand new 1000cfm annular HP Holley.
- Upgrading my fuel supply system to support the new carb (long overdue) from the stock 5/16" line and mechanical Carter street pump, to 1/2" line with a Carter electric pump at the rear feeding the mechanical pump, with a bypass line with a check valve so I can run on just the mechanical pump on the street.
- Upgrading my old Summit shocks to new Calvert shocks at all 4 corners to round out my split-mono and cal-track bar system in back.
- Complete refresh of the 727 and adding a safety blanket.

Goals are to have fun, be competitive, and win a race! Probably going to be faced with the need to put a bar in the car. It went consistent 11.60's last year. Upgrades should buy me at least a tenth, hopefully more. I've resisted the idea of a bar in the past, but reality is that I want to do more racing.

Happy hot-rodding in '17!

I am still fighting the clearance issue I had the motor in 3 times an have clearance issues with my tie rod and the pan. When engine is in I have a 3 degree slope and I can't lower the front fur to the tie rod. I raised the rear of the trans but my blanket is so tight it won't move much
Suggestions ????
