Wanted a Junk open 8-3/4 with any gear ratio. I just need to make a car a roller. Or a cheap 3:23 Sure Grip 8-3/4 center section for my other car. Right now I have 4:10's in it & want to try out a more highway friendly street gear for some highway crusing. Not looking to get rid of the 4:10's though.
Any local Michigander's have anything laying around?

I've got a complete '64 vintage rear axle with the 741 case. I don't have a puller to help remove those bloody tapered axles;if I could procure one and remove the shafts,you're welcome to the carrier. R&P are shot though;don't know if you need them. -Al

I have a center section with 2.94 gears. Has 84,000 miles and in great shape. Moved up to 3.23 posi.175.00 plus the trip.

O.K. Thanks. I will try to see if I can find someone with a puller. R&P don't matter, just needs to be able to move around garage & in & out of a trailer. Car will not be driven with this axle. I am going to narrow a Dana to go under it eventually.

I have a 3.23 sure grip in a 741 case. Axle is out of a 67 Charger. I'm in SE MI.

If you really need to just make a roller, consider using a piece of schedule 40 PVC pipe to connect the axles in the housing. Just slide the axles into the PVC pipe and they won't be flopping around when you put on your wheels and roll it around.
