Let's start off by first saying I don;t see very wll so my question does not sound stupid. I noticed the stainless headlight ring is rattleing on my 1963 Dodge Polara 500. What I thought was a screw at the twelve o clock position, my friend tells me it is not. He said you have to get to it from the other side. How is that done? That does not make any sense because how do you change a headlight bulb than? Thanks.:icon_confused:

There are 3 tabs on the headlight ring and each has a screw.Take out the screws and the headlight will come out. They are at 12, 5 and 7 o'clock positions.

I will have someone look at the 5 and 7 position, but the one at 12 has no head, neither slotted or phillips.

Somethin's not right!

Upon going into my garage and checking my 72 stainless ring for screw locations I found the screws at the 1, 5 and 8 location-

On my way in on the front door I thought my fiance left a bat decoration up from haloween ....but it was a small bat and the thing bit me..scared the **** outa me-threw it outside...ffs I hope you guys get a good laugh outa this....damn...lol

I think there is confusion here. My stainless ring surrounding the headlight on the outside of the fender doea not have three screws showing anywhere. Let's compare apples to apples. Anyone have a photo of their 1963 Dodge Polara stainless headlight ring?

I think he is refering to the headlight bezel, not the retaining ring.

Yeah, I'm talking about the thin stainless ring that actuallu holds the headlight to the headlight bucket, not the outer decorative trim. Hope we all on the same page now, lol.

If I'm reading this right you got bit by a bat? If I were you I'd get to a doctor. Looks like the bat may be gone, but you need to be sure you weren't infected with rabies. A girl near where I live was bit like that about 8 years ago and contracted rabies. She's the only known person to have been cured of rabies after it took hold. Don't mess around with it.
