I have an 1975 plymouth fury custom 2 door with a 318 but putting a 440 in her and i also have a 1990 dodge ramcaharger. In my fury when i put it to the floor the turn signal maker on the driver side fender comes on no matter what and that and when i out the trun signal on that way are the only times it comes on why does it come on when i put the gass to the floor 254773_1895153058544_1233105859_31585629_7142228_n.jpg

Welcome to FBBO! Love your Fury, had a couple myself. I think that was a option, or something like that.
My Dad had a 77 or 78 New Yorker two door that did the same thing, and he told me it was to save gas. When it lit up, your not getting good gas mileage, so your supposed to let off a little.
I was pretty little when he told me that. Somebody here will have the correct answer for you.

Welcome to FBBO forum, I have no clue what would cause the marker to come on under hard acceleration, maybe a bare wire, some were in that system, that only touches when under a hard G load or something, that's my best guess... Good luck, figuring that one out...

I'm telling you guys, it's supposed to do that. I had a car that did it also. This one did it. vvvvvvv

Alleyoop is correct, its a mileage nanny. I believe it goes by vacuum, as most mpg moniters do.
Welcome to FBBO. Nice cars. I sold off my Ramcharger a couple of years ago and immediately went looking for another one. I'm on the prowl for a pop-top this time. Your looks much nicer than mine was ever gonna be.

Welcome to FBBO 440Fury75!

You will enjoy this site - Lots of good people and information

Hey I have a similar problem in my 71 Charger. When I take my wife out for a cruise in the car, it seems like everytime I floor the accelerator a fist pops out and hits my right arm!!! Anyone else have that problem??

Nice car and truck. Keep the pictures coming - We love pictures.

Enjoy the site

That's an acceleration-monitoring device. I had a similar device on my motor-sickle. If your arm is bruised or, in my case, ribs cracked, you know your doing it right. They're like emissions equipment on later models, you can get rid of em...but its very, very costly.

welcome , your mopars are very nice.I don`t like anything or anyone monitoring my driving thats why my wife rides in the trunk .
