Hello. I am trying to figure out an aproximate value of a big block K-frame for my 72 Charger. Theres a local boneyard with a ton of mopars and I'd like a figure to go there with. Getting him to sell any parts for my car can be like pulling teeth. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't go ridiculous on it, I would say 50 to 75 bucks in average condition, maybe 100 if it's Super Cherry, and was blasted and painted, as long as its a V8 K frame from a 71 to 74 B body they are the same, these are way too common around here to go "All Out" in one,

Now, if it were a Hemi K frame it would be a different story, I have seen these go for 500 to 750 recently.

Carefull, 71 and 72 B body K-frames are the same. 73 and 74's went to isolators on the K-frame to longitudinal mounts, spool mounts for the engines and the upper control arms mount to the K-frame. Plus there is a difference between big block and small block K's on the later ones.

Are you saying all V8 k-frames on the 71-72 are the same?? No differance between SB and BB?? My issue is my drivers side header will not fit without some serious persuasion with a sledge hammer to flatten out one of the pipes. Even doing that, it whacks my steering shaft when I get on it. The motor is out of a 76 wagon. Is it possible the motor mounts are different?

Yes, k-frames for 71-72' b-body were the same for all V-8s, small or big blocks with one exception, the 71' hemi. Some factory 440 applications had skid plates welded to the bottom and originally would have a different part number. The motor mounts are the same but the brackets that bolted them to the motor are different on the big blocks.

What kind of engine do you have in there now?
