Power bulge trim - Resto or buy new?

Does anyone sell the trim on the power bulge hood or do I need to get these rechromed?

68-69 Coronet ? ,.......rechrome.

On my 68 Coronet it has kind of a frosted look on the buldge inserts from the factory.They were starting to get some small pits so I just had them chromed and the inserts looked better than the original pieces ever did.

The frosted look was Original, the metal had a texture to it before they plated them.

Thanks, they don't look like they were ever smooth polished chrome. It is a 68, and I will look for someone to rechrome them.

that's correct they never were smooth and the inlays were painted flat black, i just sold a NOS set 2 months ago. I may still have pics.

Wow, I never knew that as the only ones I have seen have no paint at all.
So the lower areas were flat black?
If that is the case I might be able to restore these myself.
I would really appreciate some pics.
