Hi guys still messin w/ my 73 Charger. I had the motor done several years ago and don't know what brand headers were put on. I do know I have a mini starter and they are really tight. To the point of rubbing on the mini starter and steering box/column, wires, plugs etc. Would like to make a change. What suggestions do you all have for brand, tube size etc. that will be a better fit for me. Oh by the way it's a 68 383 in a 73 charger. Thanks for any help given. Dave

I would NOT recommend Hooker headers. That is what I have and they fit like crap!!! I had to dent them in (on both sides) so the steering linkage would not hit them.

Thought I just did this for someone? Heddmans fit well on my 74 RR 383. Same engine box as yours. They are a middle of the road product, but the fit is good. Heard not so nice things about Hookers. TTI is the "Gold-Standard", but prepare to pay for that.

header help

Ya thanks for the input. I think they are Hooker headers. I have heard about "block huggers" anyone know of or had any experience with them. If not then I will take the advice to go with the Hedmans.

blockhuggers dont work...but i think theres someone who makes shortys for B/RB engines..maybe shumacher..
