Hi all- seems like I've seen the new heater cores for sale before. But now that I actually want to order one I cant find them. Anyone have a source?

My local rad shop has done a bunch for me, just make sure you give them the tube supports that go through the fire wall so the alignment of the pipes is correct.

Thanks Pat, thanks Joe. I think I may have mine redone at the radiator shop since it still looks decent.
Thanks for the tip on the tube supports.

Looks like the local shop would have to charge $100 for a core and $100 in labor to install... hey maybe a heater delete is in order?

Waiting on a price from Classic Heaters, thanks for that source.

You live in sunny Cal., you don't need heat! Now up in the northeast.... we need heat  . Although I don't expect to be taking my car out in the winter months.

I can fix you up with a good used,no leaks for $50 shipped.

That seems like way too much money. My last one was $85.00 all said, I think he even did a cash deal since we get raped on tax up here. Go for the used one shipped for $50.00 if it seems descent. My rad shop will also pressure test any rad or heater core for free. I think I may have one of the "good shops" though.

$100 core ?You don't have one for refund?I'm like Pat took my 63 Fury out had tested and fixed $75.Getting ready to do 64 Polara should be same. Thanks for parts too.

Yeah Scott I've got the peice that I pulled out of my car. The problem is that two of the rows are bowed out and leaking, plus the whole area around it has the white powdery corrosion that means the area is weak and not really able to be soldered on. So it needs the entire core replaced it I want to reuse it.

Anyhoo, just FYI classic heaters has a brand new core for $115 plus shipping.

Still deciding what I want to do, it's no rush really. It was 85 yesterday.

Thanks to all for the help and ideas.
