Labor Day has come to be celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer. In high society, Labor Day is (or was) considered the last day of the year when it is fashionable to wear white or seersucker.

We had an old grocery store down in Rancho Murieta, Ca., before I moved to Sonora Ca. area, that had "General Clucks Chicken" the best damn Fried Chicken, other than my older sister Lori's "Home Made" fried chicken, that's the best I've ever had, my birthday dinner is always & "I mean always", Deep Fried Chicken, Mash Potatoes & gravy, Corn on the Cobb, Coleslaw, Buttermilk Biscuits, Lemon Meringue' or Strawberry Rhubarb Pie & Ice Cream I don't care what flavor really, I like everything except Banana's, WE DON'T HAVE A POPEYE'S HERE, JUST KFC, they are down in the Bay Area & Sacramento thou....

I thought about that guy today as i stood in front of the bar-B-Q grill.. I don't know if today i would have traded ours for his though, besides i know whats in our special sauce (insert burp here) :sideways tongue:
